Open Position | Event Manager & Event Chef

The ideal Event Manager / Event Chef at Catering by Design is confidential, honest, and self-managed. He or she is approachable & collaborative, and his or her communication style is direct and candid. This person should be patient, have a positive personality, and have a sense of humor. The right candidate is professional in their actions and appearance and is detailed and organized. This person has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The Event Manager / Event Chef should be a hands-on team player who isn’t afraid to dig into deep conversations when presented opportunities to make company growth and improvement decisions. This person should be able to voice their opinions in matters of company betterment and should respect the Catering by Design Company and reputation.
This person should have the capacity to lead and manage a dynamic team to effectively work with all onsite staff for the catering, décor, and picnic brands of Catering by Design. He or she is flexible and perceptive and is a problem solver.
Required:
- This position requires travel to multiple locations for off-premises catering events
- 2+ years in catering or hotel banquet industry
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Varied schedules which will require weekend and evening hours
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation for multiple locations at all times of the day
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Pay Starting at $20.00 hr.
